Student Legislator Academy
A summer program for high school students hosted by Rep. Josh Cutler
• Meet & hear from speakers and policy experts in state & county government
• Learn how to research, draft and file legislation and visit the Mass. State House

• Learn about grass-roots campaigning and the political process
Fridays at 10am-12:30pm at the Pembroke Public Library
Program starts Friday, June 27 and ends Friday, August 15
What is it? The student legislator academy is a unique internship program designed for area high schools students interested in learning more about state government, grass roots politics and the Massachusetts Legislature.
When & where is it being held? The program will be held once a week on Fridays at the Pembroke Public Library from 10 am to 12:30. There will be field trips including a visit to the Plymouth County House of Correction and to the State House.
When does it start? The program starts Friday, June 27 and ends on Friday, August 15.
Who is eligible? Any high school-aged student living in Pembroke, Duxbury or Hanson.
Is there any cost or fee involved? No. Space is limited, however. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. See details below.
Is there homework? No. But students may be asked to do some prep work on their own time. Students are also expected to participate in all the sessions for the 7 week program.
