Student seminar discussion

semunar.jpg

Our student seminar class visited with WH Athletic Director Bob Rodgers to talk about his idea to promote young driver safety. The legislation which our students are researching would lower the age to get a driver's permit, but require that students have their permit for a longer period of time before getting a license. It would also modify existing driver's ed requirements to shift more emphasis to supervised driving and less on in classroom instruction. ( still the same number of hours overall.) A great lesson in civics and potentially a good piece of legislation as well.
