Rep. Cutler Hosts Health Care Forum: Health care expert to answer questions on ‘Obamacare’
State Rep. Josh Cutler is hosting a forum on health care issues to educate residents on what changes may be expected as the federal Affordable Care Act is implemented here in Massachusetts.
The forum will be held Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m at the Duxbury Senior Center located at 10 Mayflower Street in Duxbury.
Health care policy expert Brian Rosman will be on hand to make a presentation and answer questions. Rosman is research director of Health Care For All, the leading advocacy organization dedicated to expanding access to quality, affordable health care in Massachusetts.
Major portions of the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") take effect in 2014 and will require significant changes to state health care coverage programs. The legislature is expected to consider legislation this spring on how to implement the new law.
"This will be a critical year for health care in Massachusetts, we'll be making numerous decisions that will directly impact the availability, cost and quality of the care that everyone depends on, "said Rep. Cutler. "I invite all interested residents to come to this forum, learn more about this important issue and ask questions."
The forum is free and open to all. No pre-registration is necessary. For more information contact the office of Rep. Cutler at 617-722-2425.
