Rep. Cutler Energy Forum in Pembroke

Rep. Cutler hosts Energy Forum in Pembroke

PEMBROKE - Energy costs are increasingly a concern for residents all over the South Shore. The energy policy landscape in Massachusetts is changing rapidly and trying to make sense of it all can be a daunting task. To help consumers get answers and make informed decisions, Rep. Josh Cutler has organized a forum with a panel of energy experts.

Rep. Cutler’s Energy Forum will be held Thursday, October 29 at the Pembroke Public Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Representatives from National Grid, Eversource, Direct Energy, Mass Save and the state's Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs will be in attendance. The format will be a panel discussion with questions from audience members. Written materials will also be available for attendees to take home with them to learn more.

Some of the topics expected to be addressed include: How are energy prices set and who has oversight? What’s the difference between generation and distribution costs? How does gas infrastructure impact pricing? How can homeowners reduce their energy costs? How can consumers sign up for different energy suppliers? What is MassSave and how does it work?

“This is a great opportunity to hear first hand from energy experts to gain a better understanding of how our energy rates are determined and what consumers can do to reduce energy demands and save money,” said Rep. Cutler.

The event is free and open to the public, however seating is limited. To reserve a space in advance please contact Rep. Cutler’s legislative aide Rick Branca at 617-722-2210 or
