Rep. Cutler hosts service provider forum at Pembroke COA

PEMBROKE - Connecting people who need help with people who offer help is the focus of a social service provider forum hosted by state Rep. Josh Cutler. The event, called “We’re All in This Together” is set for Friday, March 7 at 9:30 a.m. at the Pembroke Council on Aging on Center Street.

Local experts will be on hand to discuss a range of available human services, including how to apply for fuel assistance, housing or rental assistance, learn more about mortgage foreclosure and property tax relief programs and get information on career training, unemployment insurance and job seeker resources.

“Everyone needs a helping hand now and then and there are many great services available that folks may not always be aware of to meet life’s temporary challenges,” said Rep. Cutler. “This idea of this forum is to bring people together and share information about these great resources because we are truly all in this together. If you, a family member, or a friend, need help I encourage you to attend, collect information and connect with those can help.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from each of the participating agencies, get sign-up information and talk individually with service providers. There is no charge for the event, which is open to all. Light refreshments will be offered courtesy of Rep. Cutler’s office.

Participating agencies include: South Shore Community Action, South Shore Housing, Plymouth Career Center, the Town of Pembroke Assessor’s Office, Pembroke Council on Aging, Old Colony Elder Services and others.

'We're All in This Together' is a continuing series hosted by Rep. Cutler to bring together service providers and local residents. This is the fourth such installment. For more information please visit or call Rep. Cutler's State House office at 617-722-2014.
